Croatia received its firts Michelin Star, a prestigious award in the culinary world. It was given to the Croatian dining spot Monte, located in beautiful coastal Town of Rovinj, Istria.
Monte is run by Chef Danijel Dekic and his wife Tjistka, the menu is built on local ingredients, coupled with imagination and technical prowess.
The complete 2016 was important for Croatian restaourants, since Michelin’s critics have just started to explore our coast, giving some recommendations as well.
Dubrovnik found its place on this list – our restaurants Nautika, 360, Vapor, Stara Loza, Pantarul, Proto, Azur, Dubrovnik, Kopun and Bistro Tavulin are in the Michelin’s official gastro guide for 2017!
