That very moment of the day inspired Suton, a new restaurant whose name means dusk in Croatian. Opened within Hotel Kompas, Suton is imagined as a meeting place for those who want to enjoy food in an elegant but unpretentious seaside setting.
Inspired by the colours of the sunset
The restaurant is located in the picturesque surroundings of Lapad Bay, away from the busiest parts of the city, with views of the Adriatic and the familiar rhythm of Dubrovnik’s coastal life.
Its interior follows the same story. Warm terracotta tones are combined with deep shades of blue, recalling the colours of the sea and sky at sunset. The result is a refined but welcoming space, designed for relaxed gatherings, evening drinks and shared plates.
A modern small bites concept
The menu at Suton is based on a modern concept of small bites and sharing. Guests can expect carefully created cold and warm tapas, fish and meat specialities, as well as creative culinary interpretations.
The gastronomic experience is completed with a rich wine list, cocktails and a varied selection of desserts, making Suton a place suitable for everything from a light sunset drink to a longer dinner by the sea.
A new address for relaxed evenings in Dubrovnik
According to Nikoleta Kušelj, Public Relations Manager of Adriatic Luxury Hotels, Suton was created as more than just a new restaurant.
“Suton is not only a new restaurant, but a place that celebrates a special moment of the day and a unique way of life. We wanted to create a space where visitors can relax, share food, enjoy excellent flavours and create memories on the cultural terrace of Hotel Kompas,” she said.
With its location, atmosphere and concept, Suton adds a new dining address to Lapad Bay, one made for summer evenings, sunsets and the slower side of Dubrovnik.
