Now in its second year, the Third Ear Festival brings the sights, sounds and tastes of a different country to the people of Dubrovnik. Organised and run by volunteers, this year sees Japan take the spotlight with a host of activities on offer. The Festival runs from November 7th-11th, with all events free of charge!
Things kick off on Wednesday with a lecture by Prof. Francis Bassard on Japanese religion and society at the University of Dubrovnik at 5pm. A pub quiz (in english), focusing on all aspects Japan will follow at Living Room cafe bar from 7pm. Thursday through to Sunday sees a rich program including: Taiko drums workshops for kids and adults, origami workshops and presentations on the Stradun, martial arts workshops, calligraphy classes, lectures on film as well as screenings and for food lovers, a sushi cuisine class in Cavtat.
