One of today’s most respected pianists is coming to the Dubrovnik Summer Festival
French pianist David Fray will perform in Croatia for the first time on 25 July 2026 at the Rector’s Palace Atrium, as part of the 77th Dubrovnik Summer Festival. The festival programme lists the concert as a solo recital beginning at 9:30 pm.
A pianist known for Bach, clarity and a distinctive stage presence
Fray is a Warner Classics exclusive artist, and Warner’s artist page highlights recordings including Bach’s Goldberg Variations, Bach violin sonatas with Renaud Capuçon, music by Chopin, Schubert’s late piano works, and Bach keyboard concertos. The Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s artist page also describes him as a pianist acclaimed for interpretations ranging from Bach to Boulez and as a regular guest in major concert halls.
Dubrovnik gets one of the festival’s major classical evenings
Festival and ticketing pages present Fray’s appearance as one of the major classical music events of this year’s programme. The wider festival runs from 10 July to 25 August 2026, with more than 70 performances across Dubrovnik’s historic venues.
A fitting artist for the Rector’s Palace
Fray’s style and repertoire make him a particularly strong fit for Dubrovnik’s summer music setting. Warner’s materials emphasise his long-standing artistic affinity for Bach, while festival listings frame his Dubrovnik recital as a major solo piano evening within one of the city’s most atmospheric venues. That gives the concert the feel of one of those summer nights in Dubrovnik where performer and setting naturally meet. Tickets for the concert are available online through the festival’s official sales channels.
