Dubrovnik has once again been recognised as a top travel destination, this time by the Huffington Post. The online publication has compiled a list of the top 50 incredible travel destinations to visit in 2014 with Dubrovnik topping the list. Other destinations on the list include Bogota, Pompeii and Fraser Island in Australia.While the article states the list has been compiled in no particular order, we can’t help but feel that Dubrovnik being first is well deserved.
The piece states, ”Dubrovnik is a genuine medieval walled city, one of the most picturesque in the world and certainly the main draw in Croatia…The historic city center is surrounded by the sparkling Adriatic Sea, close to several sizable beaches, renowned for its vibrant nightlife, home to several interesting museums, and a bargain compared to nearby cities in Italy.”
