Over recent years Dubrovnik’s popularity with young couples as a wedding destination has exploded. From Spring until Autumn the Stradun is regularly frequented by foreign brides and their grooms either leaving one of the City’s beautiful churches or palaces or using the stone walls as a stunning backdrop to their wedding album.
Croatia’s standing as a top wedding and honeymoon destination has been further confirmed in a piece by the Huffington Post which places the country as one of the top 5 places to spend a romantic honeymoon. Croatia finds itself on the list together with tropical St.Lucia, St. Bart’s and Fiji and the Amalfi coast in Italy.
Of all the possible places to visit in Croatia, writer Katie Frederick recommends Dubrovnik as the perfect place for newlyweds, “To pick one city, I’d have to choose the beautiful walled medieval city on the coast called Dubrovnik.
